David Wilson

David is Chairman and founding partner of WG Partners and has over 30 years’ experience in the City. Previously David was CEO of Piper Jaffray Ltd, where he also served as Global Chairman of Healthcare and on the Group Leadership Team. David has held senior positions at ING Barings as Joint Head of UK Investment Banking Group, Deutsche Bank as Head of Small Companies Corporate Finance and UBS as Head of Small Companies Corporate Broking. David currently serves as non executive Director of Bionomics Limited and was previously Senior Independent Director of Optos plc prior to its successful sale of Nikon Corporation for c.$400m as well as a non executive director of BerGenBio AS. He is currently on the Board of Governors of Harris Academy Bromley.

Chris Lee

Chris has over 25 years of equity distribution and fund raising experience with institutions such as BZW (Credit Suisse) ING and was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns. In 2002 Chris was a founding partner of his own technology company, Creativity Software and experienced fund raising from the Corporate side. In 2007 Chris rejoined the City where he was a Technology and Healthcare Specialist and headed up the UK and European Sales at Piper Jaffray.

Nigel Barnes

Nigel has over 30 years experience of working in the City having been a Director of Pharmaceutical research at ABN AMRO, First Vice President Merrill Lynch European Healthcare Equity Research and a Partner at Sudbrook Associates, a healthcare corporate advisory business. He has a PhD in pharmacology and has worked in the research laboratories of ICI (AstraZeneca) and Glaxo. In addition, he gained Sales & Marketing experience at Glaxo. Nigel has played an active role in a number of the leading corporate transactions, including a number of the major European sector mergers, IPO’s and capital raises.

Claes Spång

Claes has over 10 years experience of working in the City, most recently as Director of Corporate Finance at Singer Capital Markets. Previously, Claes was an Associate Director at Landsbanki and Bridgewell having joined from Robert W. Baird in 2005. Claes has substantial experience in actively managing and executing both domestic and international corporate transactions including IPOs, capital raises and M&A in the Life Sciences sector. Prior to joining the City Claes was a sergeant in the Swedish armed forces.

Nigel Birks

Nigel has 16 years of City experience focused on the healthcare industry. He most recently worked for Jefferies in global healthcare sales and prior to that Dresdner Kleinwort where he ran the No 1 Extel ranked healthcare research team. Nigel has significant UK & European healthcare transaction experience and has worked with healthcare investors in the US & Europe throughout his time in the City. Prior to that he was in the pharmaceutical industry for 10 years working at Eli Lilly and then for ZS Associates a Chicago based pure play pharmaceutical consultancy. Nigel completed his MBA in 1992 having spent 10 years in the British Army.

Andrew Craig

Andrew has worked for leading financial institutions since 1998. He started his career on the Eurobond desk of SBC Warburg (now UBS) but moved to equities 2 years later to join the UBS smaller companies team. Andrew subsequently headed smaller company sales and sales trading at Williams de Broe and then held senior equity sales positions with CA Cheuvreux and SEB in London and New York from 2007 until his move to WG in January 2015. Outside of the day job, Andrew has authored the acclaimed book “How to Own the World” and founded personal finance website www.plainenglishfinance.com. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Olga Holme

Olga has over 17 years experience in Investment Banking. Before joining WG, she worked with the founders at Piper Jaffray as an Associate Vice President, Corporate Access in Corporate Broking/ECM. Prior to this, she worked at Nomura International as Trade Support in both Emerging Markets and UK Equities as well as being PA to the Head of Equities.

Peter McLennan

Peter was the founder of FitzRoy Capital Pty Ltd, which was the Australian based collaborative partner of WG Partners LLP until their merger creating WG Partners Pty Ltd. Peter has 19 years experience in both investment banking and in various corporate sectors such as, Resources, Information Technology and Management Consulting. In 2010 Peter, was a founding shareholder of the York Potash Ltd, now Sirius Minerals Ltd and took the role of General Manager Commercial, running the capital markets engagement, marketing and corporate development. Previously, was a Principle in institutional equity sales at Piper Jaffray. He commenced his career at IBM, eventually managing some of their largest clients in Europe and Australia.

Anthony Brown

Anthony entered the financial services sector on the buyside at Royal Sun Alliance investment management after completing a Ph.D at the Institute of Cancer Research in London. RSAIM became part of F&C via two mergers and during this time Anthony won the Thomson Extel Award as best buyside Biotech analyst of 2005. In 2007 Anthony joined the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, in London. In 2011 Anthony left financial services to join AstraZeneca working directly for the CFO Simon Lowth before joining the Investor Relations department in 2013. Anthony emigrated to Australia in December and joined WG Partners in early 2015.

Michelle Nauertz

Michelle has over 17 years of experience in Institutional Equity Sales, Corporate and Institutional Access and Marketing. In 2013 she founded her own consulting firm in this area. Before partnering with WG Partners, she worked for Piper Jaffray & Co. as Vice President of Corporate and Institutional Relationship Management focussing on corporate access to a wide range of institutional investors across the U.S.
